39 projects for Save

irrigation facilities, improvement of water supply and sanitation and establishment of hydro power stations.

Speaking at the launch of a strategic paper on the Integrated Water Resources Development and Management of the Save River Basin, Indian ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Jeitendra Kumar Tripathi said if adopted, the paper would be presented to the Indian government for funding.

The projects include 13 in the irrigation sector, seven in agriculture, five in water supply and sanitation, one in the hydrology sector, three in ground water, three in sedimentation and five in hydropower.

Mr Tripathi said the study had come at an appropriate time and would facilitate funding for the identified projects.
