THE country’s biggest telecommunications and technology firm, Econet, last week handed over brand-new houses to eight winners who participated in last year’s Christmas promotion.
The houses are equipped with home solar systems and Econet’s smart home security.
Speaking during the handover ceremony of the houses at Penrose Estate in Nyabira, Econet’s general manager for marketing Mrs Tariro Muchena said: “As we cheer all the winners today, I would like to thank all customers for participating in this promotion, as we give away eight brand-new residential houses, fully equipped with a home solar system and kitted with Econet smart home security. The winners participated in the ‘iKhisimusi Sifikile, Kisimusi Yatosvika, Tapinda Sesingenile’ Christmas promotion 2023.
“We are happy for the winners of the grand draw and delighted by the difference it has made to their lives. This year’s promotion would be even bigger and better than the 2023 campaign.”
To participate in last year’s Christmas promotion, Econet customers were simply required to recharge their phones with a minimum of US$5.
During last year’s promotion, the company gave away prizes worth more than US$ 350 000 to lucky customers.
