A 15-year-old boy drowns while swimming with a friend

A 15-year-old boy, Prince Wilson Kapare drowned at Sable Peak Farm dam in Concession while swimming with his friend.
Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe said the incident happened on August 22, 2024, at around 1 pm.

Prince and his friend Tashinga Musaunga (15) decided to go swimming in the farm dam. They then swam from one end of the dam to another, but Prince decided to swim back to the spot where they had left clothes and along the way he got tired and drowned.

Tashinga quickly informed the deceased’s grandfather, Wilson Kapare (54), who retrieved Prince’s body.

The authorities at ZRP Concession were notified, and upon inspection, no injuries were found on the body, and no foul play was suspected.
