A busy end of year weekend

WOZA NEW YEAR
THIS is the last weekend of the year and there is therefore every reason to celebrate in style as we wind up the year and get ready for 2012.
Leisure centres dotted in the city have lined up different entertainment packages that should see us rolling into 2012 with a bang.
The pick of the weekend is the Woza 2012 Bohlingers Tight Party at Queens Sports Club on Sunday.
The show pits South Africa’s first lady of house music DJ C’ndo, Botswana based Otis Fraser, Bulawayo’s finest spinners DJ Mphoe, Sbago, Scooby, Mark Vusani, Mzoe, Witch Dokta and Kead Wekead.
Mojo Bar and Lounge at BAC starts the weekend with THA Friday Jam featuring Mellow T on the ones and twos from 7pm till late.
Tomorrow it’s the Countdown Party with veteran spinner Markus Andrew and guest DJs taking care of business till 2012.
Paparazzi wraps the year by hosting the 2011 Knockdown Party with DJs Glen, Zetfactor Josh and Flex taking turns to entertain revellers.
Tomorrow, revellers are assured of value for their money as the joint hosts the New Year’s Eve Shutdown pungwe.
Sunday, it’s the first 2012 gig beginning in the afternoon with the club’s resident spinners.
Hustlers Leisure Centre begins the year with a Friday “Miller” Jam Zone Party with the resident DJs doing what they know best. Lots of Miller to be given away.
Tomorrow, it’s the Mother of all Saturday Clubbers party with the Super 6 DJs putting up their best act for the last Saturday of the year as they prepare revellers to start the New Year.
The joint wraps up the weekend with the Battle of the DJs on Sunday.
The club’s resident DJs Mzoe, T-Bag, Ray Jam, Max, Phat Joe and Lazy T will battle it out on the decks for 2011’s best DJ award.
Wild Action Kingdom Bar in Victoria Falls presents the mother of all parties featuring DJ Mellow T and Eazy T tomorrow.
Metropolis Pub and Grill at Ascot in Bulawayo presents the Friday ladies night hosted by the bubbly Sharon Dee backed by the club’s resident DJs.
Tomorrow it’s the battle of the DJs Sweeto, Fishtoz, Stars and Prince featuring Iyasa dance group known for its rejuvenating dances.
The energetic Girlz la Musica who are popular for their sensual dances will wrap up the weekend on Sunday.
