Man found hanging from roof trusses

Although it could not be readily established why Tatjiwana Nleya of Malalume area in the district, decided to take his own life by hanging, sources said he could have had a misunderstanding with his family over a yet to be disclosed matter.
Two juveniles who were on their way home from the fields discovered Nleya’s body. The juveniles, one of them 16 years old, passed by Nleya’s homestead and found his body hanging from the trusses of his bedroom hut.
Nleya reportedly left a suicide note at the scene.
Police spokesperson for Matabeleland South Inspector Tafanana Dzirutwe confirmed the incident and warned people against taking their own lives or other people’s lives as a way of solving problems.
“We received a report of sudden death where a man died from suspected hanging. The body was found hanging from the roof trusses in his bedroom hut on 26 December,” said Insp Dzirutwe.
“When the body was discovered by a 16-year-old juvenile and his friend, there was no ready information as to what could have happened but, later on, a suicide note was found at the scene. Unfortunately we cannot disclose the contents now.”
Insp Dzirutwe urged people to seek advice from others when they have problems.
“We know people do have problems but as human beings we were created to solve such problems. People need to seek advice from others than to take one’s own life. There is always a solution to problems and killing oneself will never solve the problem,” said Insp Dzirutwe.
