HOTEL group African Sun Limited has announced plans to intensify renovations across several of its strategic properties, including the landmark Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls.

The upgrade programme will also cover Holiday Inn Harare, Troutbeck Timeshare Lodges, and the second phase of renovations at The Victoria Falls Hotel.

In its abridged financial results for the year ended 31 December 2024, the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange listed group reported solid progress on its refurbishment drive, noting the completion of public area renovations at Hwange Safari Lodge as a key milestone.

“Plans for 2025 include commencing the refurbishments of Holiday Inn Harare, Elephant Hills Resort, Troutbeck Timeshare Lodges and the second phase of renovations at The Victoria Falls Hotel,” the group said.

However, AfSun acknowledged a temporary downside to the programme, noting that, “the downside of these refurbishments is the reduced rooms inventory for the Group for the 2025 financial year.”

Despite the short-term impact on room availability, the company emphasised that these “strategic capital investments aim to enhance guest experiences and grow the portfolio’s market share.
