South Africa-based Zimbabwean musician Thembalenkosi Moyo is set to release a new single titled Ndikhuze/Ngikhuze, a song that focuses on forgiveness, love and second chances in relationships.
The Afro-pop artiste said the song encourages people to communicate and solve problems instead of quickly ending relationships because of anger or pride.
“Ndikhuze/Ngikhuze is a song about forgiveness, love, second chances and commitment. It talks about two people who love each other but are quick to lose temper or give up on one another,” said Moyo.
“In the song, I’m saying, ‘talk to me instead of letting me go so easily’. My message is simple, people should not just give up, but communicate so that love can continue.”
The musician said the single, which will be released on May 25, was produced by Orlando Roland Moyo and Tshepo Nobela. He promised fans an emotional Afro-pop sound with relatable storytelling.
He said most of his music focuses on love and relationships because many people can relate to such experiences.
“I enjoy singing about love because it’s something many people connect with. I want my music to teach people how to love and live peacefully with one another,” he said.
The singer said his passion for music started while he was at Mgombane Primary School before he later developed his talent in high school under the guidance of late arts teacher Bothwell Nkomo, also known as Gog’ Bekezela.
Thembalenkosi added that he has been growing his brand in Southern Africa through Afro-pop music and plans to return to Zimbabwe soon to collaborate with local artistes.
“Soon, I’ll be coming home to introduce my brand and work with local musicians so that together, we can make a positive impact in society,” he said.
