All the other disciplines have submitted their lists except the girls teamt, a revelation that will put egg on the organisers’ face, especially the National Association of Secondary School Heads (Nash).
There have been cries from some schools that some of the pupils dominating the games over the years were cheating .
The 2012 edition of the finals saw Harare-based Vainona High School beating Chidyamakomo from Masvingo 2-0 and in the process retaining the title they won in 2011.
“We strongly believe the delay has everything to do with age cheating and this is not fair to our sponsors,” said the source.
Nash national vice chairman Authur Maphosa said he had not received any reports of age cheating but confirmed that the girls’ list had not been submitted.
The rest of the teams are camped at Northlea High School in Bulawayo.
“I cannot comment on cheating because I am not aware of that,” the vice chairman said.
The games which are being held in Namibia will start on the 30th of this month and end on 3 September.
