Ah-Sat retain darts title

With a game to go before the season ends, the champions can now afford to even lose their last match against another weakling, Parkview Kanka, more so now that their rivals Bosso suffered a shock 20-19 defeat to Wisewater on the same night.
An elated Ah-Sat captain Wayne Brandt said their dedication and commitment to the game paid dividends.

“We played together as a team, we had no in-house fighting but I must say that we need to practise really hard if we are to retain our title again next year. Competition was really tough especially from Bosso though I am shocked they lost to Wisewater,” said Brandt.
On the crowning night, Brandt and Derrick Pillay hit three 140 match plays each to seal a memorable last home        match.
A clearly disappointed Bosso chairman Jotham Ndiweni said they were going back to the drawing board to strategise for next season.

Bosso will be involved in a dog-eat-dog second place fight against Fairbridge at Highlanders Sports Club in their last match next Wednesday. The law enforcement agents beat Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe 22-17.
Bosso started the season in a no-nonsense mood, crushing all before them, including champions Ah-Sat but some in-house squabbles coupled with a host of administrative boobs saw their championship hopes slowly but surely fading away by each passing week.
Some observers though blamed the squabbles on the large pool of players that Bosso has, saying the club should have a second string side next year so that everyone will have the opportunity of playing every week.

At Espotini Sports Bar, hosts ZRP (Byo) succumbed 17-22 to a Moses Ndlovu inspired Parkview Lions.  Ndlovu was on fire hitting an incredible three 180s and a single 140 match play.
“We are wrapping up our league games next week  where players will then prepare for the last tournament this year, the Legends Singles Tournament, which will be held on 9-10 December at Parkview Sports Club,” said Bulawayo Metropolitan Darts Association organising secretary Lethukuthula Nkomo.
Awards night has been set for 16 December at Raylton Club.-The Chronincle
