The programme is aimed at equipping both administrators and coaches with skills ahead of the new season, which was supposed to get underway this weekend, but has been postponed.
“We are getting into a new season and there are some teams, which are joining the league from lower ranks so they are expected to be well equipped with what is expected from them,” said Karinda.
“The induction training is held annually before the season kicks off and it helps a lot in terms of discipline.
“Last year, we had a few cases that needed disciplinary hearings and we give credit to such training programmes. Teams need to understand what they are playing for and how to go about certain issues and it is through platforms like this where they can get help.”
The instructor was happy with the turnout and believes more people will be available for today’s final session.
“The turnout is good and I believe more participants will come today as it is important for everyone to know what we look forward to see in the Northern Region and also as soccer loving people as well,” said Karinda.
“Everyone will learn a thing or two from this course and it is my wish that we put into practice what we would grasped at courses like this one.”
