A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Village 3A in Insuza, Matabeleland North Province is likely to undergo anal surgery after allegedly sustaining a�?deepa�? fissures on his buttocks after being sodomised by an 18-year-old fellow villager.
The boy was reportedly injured after a fellow villager allegedly sampled him from behind.
This emerged when the suspect appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Adelaide Mbeure to answer charges of aggravated indecent assault as read in Section 66 (1) (a) (2) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.
He was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to 20 May.
Allegations against the accused are that on 22 May at around 4 pm he was at Njekeni grazing area herding cattle with the complainant.
It is reported that for no apparent reason he started threatening the complainant saying he wanted to assault him with a switch.
The court is yet to prove that while threatening the complainant, he also ordered him to remove his pair of trousers and he complied.
After stripping, the accused allegedly asked the complainant to bend down while balancing on the ground with his hands.
The court was told that the accused then exploited the opportunity and sodomised the boy.
The matter came to light when the complainanta��s grandmother noticed that he was having difficulties in sitting and walking.A� Upon being questioned that is when he revealed he was sodomised by the accused.
It is further reported that upon examining him, the grandmother discovered that there were signs of external damage in the lining of his anus which nurses who attended to him reportedly recommended for surgery.
The matter was then reported to the police. .
