Anger as wife killer returns to murder scene

A Nyanga man, who allegedly murdered his wife before setting her ablaze, returned to the crime scene today for indications and some angry mourners stoned a police vehicle.
Benjamin Mhungira, the murder suspect, is reported to have told mourners:

“Vangavachida kundiwona huyai mundiwone ndadzoka.”

Some mourners and villagers were irked by his mere presence and clashed with police detectives as they tried to attack Benjamin.

One of the mourners was arrested, accused of stoning a police vehicle.

“We do not want to see this murderer here.

“We are tired of being recorded some statements over the same issue,” said one of the mourners.

Benjamin has under police guard at Bonda Hospital since Monday after downing poison soon after allegedly committing the murder.

He arrived at Samusodza village under police guard and even tried to greet some of the mourners.
