ANITA JOINS BECKS. . . ambassadorial role opens doors for songbird

SONGBIRD Anita Jaxson, who recently assumed an ambassadorial role for WildAid Zimbabwe, is flying the country’s flag high as she is showcasing her talent on an international platform.

She joins Zimbabwean actress,  Danai Gurira, who was also chosen by WildAid, as an ambassador.

For Anita, it’s a great achievement as she is a local artist, who has proved that location is not a barrier, when it comes to excelling in the entertainment sector.

She is one of the faces, together with Davido, Danai and others, appearing on a WildAid advert being shown globally, on different platforms.

In an interview with H-Metro, Anita revealed what WildAid is about and the benefits that come with being the ambassador.

“I was recently appointed as a WildAid ambassador for Zimbabwe.

“WildAid has ambassadors all over the world such as Davido, David Beckham, Danai Gurira, Sauti Sol, just to name a few.

“WildAid’s mission is to protect wildlife from illegal trade and other imminent threats,” she said.

“WildAid also does concerts in various parts of the world. 

“Recently, I performed in South Africa and the concert was aired on DStv.

“Next month, I’ll be traveling to Rwanda and South Africa to perform.”

Anita said she was elated to be part of the WildAid project.

“It is such an amazing experience and opportunity to be part of a conservation team. Not only do I get to travel and see the beautiful animals we have in the world, but I also play a vital role in helping protect wildlife,” she said.

Anita became more visible on the local showbiz scene when she had a successful collaboration with Jah Master titled ‘‘Unonzani’’. She has also worked with Ti Gonzi and Poptain.

Anita currently has a track titled Ginger.
