Another Covid-19 death recorded in Byo, 78 recover

ONE person in Bulawayo succumbed to Covid-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of deaths in Zimbabwe to 81, as 146 people tested positive for the virus yesterday countrywide.

Of the 181 recoveries that have recorded, 78 were from Bulawayo, with the Midlands registering the most number of recoveries with 102. Mashonaland East Province also had one recovery.

“Today we regret to report a death at facility level. The death is of a male aged 22 from Bulawayo Province. Today 1 533 RDT screening tests and 1 080 diagnostic tests done. The cumulative number of tests to date is 140 421 (74 707 RTD and 614 PCR),” the Ministry of Health and Child Care said.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country stands at 4 221, with 2 902 active cases and 1238 recoveries.
