THE Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ), led by Archbishop Johannes Ndanga is set to launch an Inter-Religious Peace and Development Association in Europe at the end of the month.
The association will be launched in Paris, France on 27 April, where Archbishop Ndanga is expected to preside over the proceedings of the event.
Archbishop Ndanga said he would make a presentation about the association, which was founded by the late Korean Reverend Sun Myung Moon and his wife Dr Hak Ja Han Moon.
“We will be traveling to spread the word of God. I will present a paper on the founders of the association and what their motive was. The paper will particularly focus on unity, love and peace,” said Archbishop Ndanga in an interview last week.
“There will be a large group of religious people from different Christian backgrounds at the event. The association was successfully launched in Africa and we hope it will be well appreciated in Europe, the way it has been accepted in Africa,” said Archbishop Ndanga.
He said the late Korean religious leader was well known across the world for his business ventures and support of social and political causes.
“We want to maintain and uplift his legacy in spreading love,” said Archbishop Ndanga.
He added that he would also soon present a paper on the subject in Zimbabwe, as the country was preparing for elections.
“People of Zimbabwe must unite; disunity will cost the country in many aspects of prosperity. The President has been preaching the gospel of love and unity and we should act the same. As we fast delve into election season we need to learn to love one another. People should also register to vote, especially people in church, the process is still open. Let us unite as Zimbabweans and be known for peace, love and unity,” said Archbishop Ndanga.
