Armed robbers raid home of Minister Coventry’s parents

ARMED robbers raided the home of the parents of Sports Minister, Kirsty Coventry, on Monday night in Glen Lorne.

Robert Edwin and his wife Lyn Coventry lost a total of US$90 000.

Two men, armed with unknown objects, tied the legs of Robert and Lyn, using shoelaces.

They ransacked the whole house and stole US$15 000, jewellery worth US$60 000, three hair driers, Olympic clothes, travelling bags, hearing aids valued at US$5000 and three hunting firearms.
