AURA Group is now an authorised Starlink distributor in what is a big step towards improving internet access across the whole country.
ICT Minister Dr Tatenda Mavetera said enhanced connectivity is crucial for achieving the country’s Vision 2030 goals.
Aura Group donated standard Starlink kits along with three-month subscription vouchers to various Government hospitals, State universities and colleges.
Minister Mavetera said these donations are aimed at facilitating better communication and access to resources in critical sectors.
“The introduction of low-end-orbit satellite technology such as that which is being deployed by Stalink represents a transformative opportunity for Zimbabwe’s underserved and marginalised communities,” she said.
“In areas that were previously hindered by inadequate connectivity, we are gathered here today to witness the first launch of a properly licensed reseller partnership in the low-end-orbit satellite technology zone in Zimbabwe.”
The Aura Group is now able to sell Starlink standard kits and high performance kits.
Aura Group Co-Founder and Chairman, Nikhil Bhulabhai, unveiled the Starlink kit.
Aura Group director of sales and marketing, Sarudzai Muwanga, said:
