B-METROa��s entertainment reporter Bruce Ndlovu scooped the Outstanding Arts Journalist award at the inaugural Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) held at the Large City Hall on Friday last week.
Ndlovu beat two other reporters for the top award.
An ecstatic Ndlovu who was honoured for his in-depth entertainment stories and interviews with artistes as well as his deep commitment to artistic issues said success was not, a�?the work of one but the work of many.a�?
Ndlovu is humbled by the award and expressed gratitude to his bosses and colleagues.
a�?I feel immensely humbled by this award which came at a time when I am trying to make strides in the challenging journalism fraternity which requires hard work, courage and passion. I am dedicating it to my family, colleagues, superiors and my readers.
a�?I never thought this would happen and this goes on to show anyone from any walk of life can stand among giants,a�? Ndlovu said.
Madlela Sikhobokhobo who bagged three awards stole the show with his performance of Ngamnanka uSaMamo.
The event had a huge turn out supporting local talent.
