IT appears that Simba Bhora were wrong to let Tinashe Balakasi and Billy Veremu go earlier this season as they are currently enjoying a fine campaign.
The decision was deemed illogical by a huge section of Simba Bhora fans.
And, they are also justified to some extent as the duo are leading the scoring chart in their respective leagues.
Veremu has busted the nets 11 times for MWOS, which makes him a joint leading goalscorer in the Golden Boot race with TelOne’s Washington Navaya.
Veremu has been at the heart of the Punters fine run which has seen the Norton side forcing their name in the championship conversation in 24 games.
On the flip side Balakasi joined a ZIFA Northen Region Division One side Agama after parting ways with Simba Bhora and he is also jointly leading the Golden Boot race with nine goals.
One can only imagine what could have been the situation had the champions kept this duo for this campaign.
And, it is a question which is being asked by almost every Simba Bhora fan who are cursing the team’s leadership for lacking faith in this duo.
Simba Bhora are leading the championship race with 47 points just a point ahead of second placed Scottland.
Simba Bhora released Balakasi and Veremu to create room for Namibian forward Isakar Gurirab and William Manondo.
Gurirab has registered eight goals and Manondo struggled to live up to expectation as he was loaned to Yadah during the midseason transfer without recording a goal.
Simba Bhora will be in action this Saturday in the Chibuku Super Cup where they are scheduled to host either Dynamos or Yadah at Wadzanai.
Dynamos and Yadah are expected to clash at Ngoni this afternoon and the winner will meet Simba Bhora.
