With two matches being played simultaneously at different venues, it was a run scoring opening day which saw two centuries and three half centuries being scored on the opening day of the campaign.

Kudzai Maunze fell for 73 runs while opener Tinashe Kamunhukamwe scored eight runs.

Batting first, Eagles ended the day with a score of 346-2 before bad light stopped play with 64.2 overs having been played. Eagles are playing against Southern Rocks.
