Bindura accident victims named

Acting Police traffic spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed that among the deceased, two were from the same family.
“One more person died due to the injuries sustained from the accident and is believed to be from the same family with one of the people who died on the day of accident,” said Ass Insp Chakanza.
Shingirai Marecha (36) later died from the injuries sustained from the accident while Steven Marecha (34) was among those who died on the spot.
Nine people were injured.
Six of the injured are reported to be in a stable condition while the other three whose condition is reported to be critical were transferred to Parirenyatwa hospital.
Police yesterday released the names of the deceased.
They are Learnmore Sorarezau (21) of Hurungwe, Takesure Nyamazema (23) from Gweru, Gainmore Nyamudya (17) of Mudzi, Ruvimbo Guvamatenga (10) of Warren Park D, Chido Magidi (31) no address, Pedzisayi Chikuturidze (44) from Tynwald South, Tafadzwa Pikinini (34) from Warren Park 1, Kimmy Kumiriraranai (35) of Dzivarasekwa Extension, Collen Ndoro (18) of Tynwald South, Bernard Nhete (34) from Tynwald South, Steven Marecha (34) and Shingirai Marecha (36) whose address was not given.
Assistant Inspector Chakanza said the other two of the deceased were not yet identified and urged the public with missing relatives to visit Parirenyatwa and Concession hospital mortuary.
The accident happened on Saturday afternoon when the Kombi ferrying members of the Vadzidzi Apostolic Church rammed into a tree after one of its tyres burst. A total of 39 people died while 91 were injured in 129 accidents recorded on Africa Day.
