Blessing Shumba to headline Epworth gospel gig

Shumba will share the stage with popular diva Bethen Pasinawako, Lucky Mabhande and Pastor Silvester Braimu at the family show.
The show will start at 2pm and run until late.
Interestingly, the show was organised by the artistes themselves, saying it was time that they desisted from waiting for promoters to arrange shows for them.
“We realised that most promoters were concentrating on working with secular musicians leaving out gospel artistes, hence the decision to organise this show on our own.
“We also wanted to give families in the area a chance to watch their favourite gospel musicians in a family environment unlike the environment that normally characterises shows held at night.
“This is the first of a number of similar shows we will be holding countrywide,” Mabhande said on behalf of the artiste.
All eyes will be on Shumba, who has been rocking the airwaves with his songs taken off his two albums “NdiMwari” and “Ishe Wazvose”.
Who doesn’t know his hits like “Titeme Timene”, “Kurwa Kwakanaka”, “Hama”, and “Tichauya Nei?” “and NdiMwari” that have gained anthemic status?
The award-winning artiste is likely to stage his show backed by Bethen, who has become a permanent feature at his shows as a backing vocalist.
Bethen will then take time on her own to showcase her own stuff and prove why she is one of Zimbabwe’s talented female divas.
People will without doubt love her songs like “Ndinzverei” among others.
Mabhande, on the other hand, is not new to local gospel music; he has four albums to his name.
Those who have watched him in action before know what to expect.
He is famous for his energetic rhumba gospel dances and enthralling music.
Mabhande will also use the same platform to sample tracks from his latest album “Tinoenda Kudenga” which is a sequel to his previous one, “Zambuko Redenga” which did well.
Pastor Braimu will play his praise and worship music and also give people a taste of his new fourth album “Grace”.
Kids will pay US$1 while adults fork out US$3.
