Hot line-up for Harare Show Cup Clash

platform for youths to see what’s doing the rounds on the dancehall scene. 
Hosted by Stereo 1 International sound system, the clash will be graced by renowned chanters among them Guspy Warrior, Lady Squanda, King Shaddy, Jah Prayzah, King Labash, Cello Culture and Freeman of the “Danger Zone” fame.
If there is one gig that dancehall lovers don’t want to miss, it got to be the one featuring Freeman, King Shaddy and Guspy Warrior.
The three artistes have made huge strides insofar as Zimbabwean dancehall music is concerned.
Freeman made his breakthrough with his chart topper “Joina City” and since then he has never stopped weaving his way up the music ladder.
But King Shaddy is no pushover as the youthful emcee has been there and done that. He boasts a long list of hits among them “Chipanera”, “Mai Huni” and “Tsoka YaDumore” to mention but a few. Also not to be outdone is Guspy Warrior whose hit song “No Way” has endeared him with multitudes of fans.
Although Lady Squanda is the only female emcee in the line-up that doesn’t make her any lesser important. In fact, she exudes confidence and stamina just like her counterparts and you just have to attend the show to appreciate how talented she is on the microphone.
She made her presence felt when she curtain raised for the Jamaican artiste Agent Sasco where she sent the crowd into a delirium with her high energy performance.
Jah Prayzah will be the cherry on top at the gig when he seals off the show with his sing along tune “Gochie Gochie”, a favourite of many.
Over and above the performing line-up there is going to be at least 100 emcees and music selectors competing on the decks.
The contest which is held along the lines of the famous Summer Splash in Jamaica, will see emcees rotating on the mic displaying their lyrical prowess and whoever gets the loudest cheers eventually become the winner of the cup.
Show organiser Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza urged fans to come early to avoid disappointment at the gates.
Chipaz, as he is popularly known in show business, said there were lots of prizes to be won outside the cup clash contest.
