A RUSAPE boy, Emmanuel Mutusva, who was born partially blind, is appealing for financial assistance to undergo an operation to reverse his worsening condition. The 10-year-old boy hails from Nemaire School, which is located some few kilometres from Rusape.
The minor was advised to be operated by Parirenyatwa Hospital at the ealiest possible time, failure of which he will get completely blind.
The boy’s mother is terminally ill and cannot afford to foot her son’s medical bill.
The child is being taken care of by his grannies who are advanced in age.
There are reports that the Social Welfare Department can assist to have him operated on freely, but the boy’s guardians have all along been struggling to raise money for food, bus fare and accommodation while in Harare.
The boy’s guardians have also lost his referral hospital papers from Sakubva Eye Unit – which means they will also require money to travel to Mutare to get copies before proceeding to Harare.
Those wishing to help can contact Mr Mubvuta, a senior teacher at Nemaire School, on 0773 937 804.
