BN Soccer Academy holiday training roars into life

The academy is the brainchild of junior soccer development consultant Bekhimpilo Nyoni.
The training will begin on Monday.

Nyoni said they would be emphasising more on skills and technique development.
“Our aim is to emphasise on skills and technique development and we will mainly do it for school-going kids who do not have access to show case their soccer talent.
“We are progressing well as BN Academy and recently we managed to have Musa Kalombo, who is 14 years, selected in the final 20 finest players at the Copa Coca-Cola and he is promising to go far.

“The player, who is a student at Prince Edward, has been with us since he was in Grade Four and he even went to Spain with the VW team,” Nyoni said.
The 12-year-old academy’s student Victor Changonda left for the United States on Wednesday after securing a soccer scholarship.
“Another product of ours Chagonda left to go and study at Florida University.

“We want to help the boys mainly from boarding schools who have potential in playing soccer.
“This term will see us roping in coaches like Clayton Munemo, Biggie Zuze and we will make an effort to bring in the Under-20 coach Taurai Mangwiro who has something to teach us from his Germany experience.

“We also look forward to bring the Gokwe North select team which was selected during the PinCode soccer tournament to come and train with us during the last three days of this holiday session.
“I think it will be good for the guys from the rural areas to have a feel of an academy,” Nyoni said
