Bodybuilders set for clash of the champions

At least six champions are expected to compete at the Mr and Ms Bulawayo bodybuilding contest that will be held next month.

Speaking to B-Metro, theAï¿½ BulawayoAï¿½ MetropolitanAï¿½ Body BuildingAï¿½ and Fitness (BMBF)aï¿½ï¿½sAï¿½ organising secretary Simon Gama said the event would have four categories namely aï¿½ï¿½ female fitness figure, Under -21Aï¿½ juniors men ,senior men body building and the newly introduced category fitness physique.

Asked why they had introduced fitness physique, Gama said it had become an international sport but Bulawayo Metropolitan Body Building Fitness had no such category.

Reigning Mr ZRP Givemore Marufu will fight for the honours for Mr Bulawayo Senior against Domingo Lunga Mr Western 2015, Lazarus Shereni and Courage Ganyani reigning Mr Bulawayo. Reigning Mr Bulawayo Lovemore Munyamana will not be participating in the forthcoming contest.

Brian Samudombe will battle for the honours against Pardon Dube in the Fitness category.

Defending Ms BulawayoAï¿½ Selina Manuel will face her mentor Shantel Greenland and Mitchel Matsito.

The winners will then participate in the Mr Zimbabwe Ironman nationals that will be held on 27 August at Long Chen Plaza.
