English Premier League soccer title challengers Manchester City have been short of options up-front of late and it emerged on Tuesday that they were in advanced talks with Bony, who has been a prolific goalscorer since arriving at Swansea.
The 26-year-old came to Wales from Vitesse Arnhem for £12m in July 2013 and has scored 34 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions since then.
He was given a contract extension seven weeks ago which runs until 2018, but the Cote d’Ivoire international is now apparently on the verge of a move to the reigning Premier League champions.
