Botha, O’Donoghue shine at Triathlon Cup

ZIMBABWE’S Zander Botha walked away with a gold medal in the Men’s Elite Africa Triathlon Cup.
He was joined on the podium by counterpart, Callum Smith who scooped a silver medal, while South Africa won bronze courtesy of Phillip Theron.

Rachel O’Donoghue won a bronze medal, Hemiko Sako from Japan won silver, while Germany’s Jules Behrens won gold in the Women’s Elite Africa Triathlon Cup held at Troutbeck Nyanga this afternoon.

The Africa Triathlon Junior Cup ended on a high note in the Elite Men Category where Germany’s Lasse Luhrs won gold and Czech Republic’s Martin Demurth won silver. Behind the pair was German’s Justus Topper. Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, Art and Recreation, Emily Jesaya alongside Stanley Muchenje of Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited presented the accolades.
