Breaking: Karoi withdraws appeal

Zimpapers Sports Hub

The Northern Region Soccer League will be decided this Friday afternoon as Karoi United has officially withdrawn an appeal that would have delayed the confirmation of the champions.

Karoi were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their home match against Scottland.

The NRSL disciplinary committee awarded the match on a 3-0 scoreline to Scottland, sending the Mabvuku side top of the log ahead of today’s matches.

However, Karoi United filed an appeal with Zifa, contesting both the ruling and sanctions which had an effect on Scottland’s results.
