BUDDING musician from the sprawling suburb of Sakubva has ventured into the music fraternity with a five-track album, Mukomborerei, a dedication to President Mugabe who turned 91 on February 21. The project carries songs of praise for the iconic leader and the singer, James Mutisi, also known as Jimwella, expresses gratitude to God for giving Zimbabwe an astute, pragmatic and brave leader like President Mugabe.

The title track, Mukomborerei, is Jimwella’s plea to God to keep guard of President Mugabe and continue to take care of him.

Other tracks on the album are Magamba, The real party, Mazuva aya and a bonus track, Mukondombera. He also congratulates President Mugabe for being elected SADC and AU chairman.

“I urge people to continue being patriotic and emulate the good works our President has done. He is a model father to all of us and I decided to come with this project appreciating his love and sacrifice. I urge my fellow youths to embrace the economic blueprint, Zim-Asset, and be innovative and work towards building the country. With unity, fellow youths will take the country to dizzy heights,” said the talented lyricist.

He dedicated the bonus track, Mukondombera, to people, particularly youths to practise safe sex and stick to one partner and help prevent the spread of HIV and Aids.

He thanked the Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs, Mandi Chimene, for making his debut project a success.

He will next month release another project that would carry dancehall and urban groove music.
