Preparations for Zimbabwe’s premier mining, engineering and transport exhibition, Mine Entra 2026, are gathering momentum ahead of the month-end showcase, with organisers promising an expanded platform aimed at unlocking investment, promoting mineral value addition and accelerating industrial growth.

Scheduled to run from July 29 to 31 at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo, this year’s edition is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors, including international participants, and over 10 000 business visitors from across the region.

Organised by the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company in partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development and the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe, Mine Entra has evolved from a traditional mining exhibition into a strategic business platform connecting investors, mining companies, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, policymakers and service providers.

Held under the theme, “Unearth, Transform, Prosper: Anchoring Economic Transformation through Mining Value Chains,” the exhibition places mineral beneficiation, value addition and local supplier development at the centre of discussions as Zimbabwe seeks to maximise the economic benefits of its vast mineral resources.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, ZITF Company marketing and corporate communications manager Mr Thando Nkomo said Mine Entra continues to position Zimbabwe’s mining sector as a catalyst for economic transformation by creating opportunities for investment, innovation and business partnerships.

He said the exhibition is expected to facilitate meaningful engagements between industry players, investors and policymakers while showcasing the latest technologies shaping the future of mining.

“This year’s Mine Entra will bring together key stakeholders from across the mining value chain to explore investment opportunities, strengthen local participation and promote innovation that supports sustainable growth in the sector,” he said.

Mr Nkomo said organisers were also placing greater emphasis on ensuring that local manufacturers, engineering firms, transport companies and small-to-medium enterprises benefit from opportunities created through the mining industry.

He noted that dedicated networking sessions and business matchmaking platforms would enable local suppliers to engage directly with mining companies and potential investors, opening doors to new commercial partnerships.

Technology and innovation are expected to feature prominently, with exhibitors showcasing advances in automation, artificial intelligence, digital monitoring systems and smart mining equipment aimed at improving productivity, safety and operational efficiency.

In addition to the exhibition, delegates will participate in technical conferences and policy discussions focusing on mineral beneficiation, value addition, supplier development and infrastructure, with organisers expecting the engagements to generate practical solutions capable of strengthening Zimbabwe’s mining value chains.

As the countdown to Mine Entra 2026 continues, organisers say the ultimate measure of success will not only be the number of exhibitors and visitors, but the quality of business partnerships, investments and commercial opportunities generated during the three-day event.
