Bulawayo man stoned to death for having “empty pockets”

A BULAWAYO man was brutally murdered by robbers after they found nothing to steal from him near Machipisini Flyover Bridge on April 14.

Rodrick Munkuli (42) was walking home from work when two unknown thugs pounced, demanding cash. After realising he had no valuables, they stoned him savagely, leaving him badly injured.

He somehow made it to the police and was rushed to hospital—but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
“The deceased was attacked with stones all over his body after being confronted by two suspects who demanded valuables. He passed away on April 16 while admitted,” said Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele.

Cops are now hunting the violent duo and have urged anyone with leads to come forward.
