Only a couple of months after missing out on a chance to showcase his talent in Hollywood, Bulawayo model Shadel Noble is set to get another chance to shine when he takes part in the Sadc Fashion Festival.

Thefashion extravaganza will take place on Friday and end on Saturday at the Happy Valley Hotel in Swaziland.Aï¿½ Noble, a product of one of the countryaï¿½ï¿½s most reputable modelling agencies, Fingers, had qualified to join other top models from around at WCOPA in Hollywood but missed out on the trip due to a lack of funds.

He is now instead set to showcase his talent in the southern African kingdomaï¿½ï¿½s premier fashion showcase.

However, despite his recent spate of successes Noble is still a relative novice on the cityaï¿½ï¿½s modelling scene, having joined the industry only last year when he started working with Fingers director Sarah Mpofu.

aï¿½?I went to speak to Sarah Mpofu and I told her I would like to give modelling a try and I started working with her whenAï¿½ modelling classes started.

aï¿½?So I joined her agency and I have really learnt a lot although I have been modelling for a year and a half I got the chance to model in South Africa at the Ekurhuleni Fashion Festival,aï¿½? he said.

That gig opened doors for him, something the 22-year-old said would happen after his latest sojourn in Swaziland.

aï¿½?The gig in South Africa opened doors for me as I am now the international brand ambassador for an agency in South Africa which goes by the name AMM which is under the directorship of Sammuel Marema,aï¿½? he said.

Despite his new found confidence, he divulged that was not always the case.

aï¿½?Modelling was something I always wanted to try but I was really shy to do it although I would go to fashion shows just to watch and while watching I would tell myself that this was something I would do one day,aï¿½? he said.
