ZANU-PF Matabeleland South provincial chairman Cde Nqobizitha Ndlovu has urged party cadres to focus on President Mnangagwa’s development vision and work together to ensure the realisation of Vision 2030.
Speaking at a Provincial Co-ordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Gwanda on Saturday, Cde Ndlovu challenged the province to conduct a self-evaluation of progress made in achieving the President’s vision.
“As the party leadership, let’s ensure that we listen to the addresses by our President, whether it’s to the nation, the Central Committee, or the Politburo, as he will be providing updates on development issues within both the party and the nation,” he said.

“What the President expects from us as party members is that we rise, revive and build the party,” said Cde Ndlovu.
“It has been about five months since we attended the (annual) conference, and in no time, we will be attending the next one.
Are we following up on the resolutions we made? Are we holding the Government to account, and are we keeping track of progress? As a party, we should be able to go to the people and show them that the conference resolutions are being implemented,” he added.
Cde Ndlovu, who is also the Minister of Industry and Commerce, said the province was set to work on synchronising activities between party district structures and Members of Parliament to strengthen the party and achieve targeted development milestones.
He emphasised that the province would continue to be proactive, having demonstrated a high level of unity that should be maintained.

Cde Ndlovu announced that this month, the province would hold a meeting between the District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) chairpersons and Members of Parliament to improve and synchronise working relations.
“We feel that there is a gap that needs to be closed, and this will help build the party. As Matabeleland South, we believe in being proactive, and we will continue to address these issues before they become big problems,” he said.

“We want to synchronise activities so that we can pool our resources and manpower in one direction to realise significant progress.”
In an interview after the meeting, Cde Ndlovu said the province had successfully conducted inter-district meetings in all seven districts within the province. This has helped the province to identify its strengths and weaknesses, and the outcomes will help prioritise key areas.
He also mentioned that the cell restructuring programme was underway and that the province was working tirelessly to meet the deadline.

“We held our first provincial co-ordinating committee meeting for 2025, and we took the opportunity to thank the President for the good work that he is doing, and more importantly, for guiding the party and steering the ship,” said Cde Ndlovu.
“We took time to share some of the things he mentioned when he opened the Politburo, among them discipline within the party. I’m happy to note that so far, Matabeleland South has exhibited strong signs of unity, and we cautioned those who might be developing signs of causing division.
“We made it clear that this is a no-go area, and no one will go against our President in the province,” he added.
Zanu-PF Matabeleland Politburo member, Cde Richard Ndlovu, urged the provincial party leadership to set an example by being united and serving the party. — @DubeMatutu.
