CALL to Worship Global has urged churches across Zimbabwe to embrace unity and pray for the nation’s prosperity, reaffirming the importance of solidarity in the body of Christ.
Addressing more than 200 pastors from several denominations at a breakfast meeting held at Northside Community Church in Borrowdale, Harare, last Friday, Call to Worship Global co-founder Pastor Philip Pike spoke about the critical role unity plays in empowering the Church and strengthening communities.
“When pastors and leaders come together in unity, God is magnified and the Church becomes an unstoppable force for good. As we unite in prayer and purpose, we become better equipped to serve our communities and address the challenges of our nation,” said Pastor Pike.
“Zimbabwe’s future depends on the strength of its people, and there’s no greater power than a Church united in faith.”
The breakfast meeting, hosted in partnership with Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, provided an opportunity for pastors to connect, reflect on their calling and share their ministry experiences. The gathering focused on encouraging spiritual leaders to continue their work with renewed faith and resilience.
Speaking at the same event, Pastor Charles Chafanza stressed the transformative power of unity within the Church.
“Call to Worship has brought believers together from different walks of life, demonstrating the profound impact of collective worship. When we come together in faith, we remind the world that the Church stands as a beacon of hope and peace,” he said. “Our unity is our strength, and this is how we will overcome challenges.”
Apostle Dr Bernie, the founder of Serving in Faith Church, further echoed the call for unity, urging leaders to remain steadfast in their mission.
“The strength of the Church is not in numbers, but in our ability to stand together, to lift each other up in prayer, and to serve our communities with love. This is what Call to Worship is all about.”
In brief remarks, Econet’s deputy chief executive Roy Chimanikire said Econet was honoured to support the churches in Zimbabwe.
“As Econet, we proudly support the church and its ministry because we believe our values are aligned. We owe much of our success as a company to the prayers and support of churches and pastors across the country. We therefore see this partnership as one based on our shared faith and values,” he said.
Call to Worship organised ‘March for Jesus’ held on Saturday morning in Harare that drew hundreds of worshippers from across the country. The march was seen as a visible demonstration of faith, unity and collective hope for Zimbabwe’s future.
Both the pastors’ breakfast and the March for Jesus come ahead of the highly anticipated Call to Worship Global’s 16th anniversary celebrations set to be held at Harare Gardens this Saturday.
The event will feature worship sessions and activities designed to unite and inspire Christians from all walks of life.
“Our mission is simple but profound, to unite the Church and lead the nation in prayer. This unity will not only bring strength to the Church but also transform Zimbabwe as we seek God’s grace for our nation’s future,” said Pastor Pike.
