CAPS United captain, Phineas Bamusi, has welcomed the move by the club’s president, Farai Jere, to acquire four cars for the players as part of efforts to restore calm at the Green Machine.
Bamusi, goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga, Tatenda Munditi and William Manondo are the players who have received the vehicles.
Cars for other players, who are part of this deal, are being sourced.
Bamusi said he was confident his side could turn their situation around during the second half of the Castle Lager Premiership campaign.
“I think we are now in a better position to promise our fans a better second half,” said Bamusi. “The bosses are trying to steady the ship and we have a full appreciation of that.
“Our objectives have changed and we are now focusing on finishing on a respectable position.
“We have been training well and I believe what the president (Jere) is doing for us, will ignite all the hopes for everyone to give his best fight.”
A return for Blessing Sarupinda is on the cards for Makepekepe.
Sarupinda’s agent, who preferred to be identified as Motion, confirmed the developments.
“Sarupinda is still a Sekhukhune player and it’s true we are in contact with CAPS for a possible deal,” said Motion.
“Sekhukhune will have the final say, but we are trying to negotiate a loan move for the youngster so that he can get enough game time.
“Several Glad Africa Championship teams have shown interest for a permanent deal, but if Sekhukhune insists for a loan, we will see what can be our best option.”
Sarupinda was on a six-month loan at South Africa’s Glad Africa Championship side JDR Stars.
He is now back at his parent club, Sekhukhune United, who finished 11th in the South African Premiership.
It is also the home of former Warriors skipper Willard Katsande and ex-SuperSport United coach, Kaitano Tembo.
Ali Sadiki has also joined CAPS United from Zambia’s top-flight side, Kabwe Warriors.
He is expected to work with coach Lloyd Chitembwe for the remainder of the season.
