CAPS United coach, Lloyd Chitembwe, says they have covered a lot of ground ahead of their league match against Ngezi Platinum at Baobab tomorrow.
Former Chicken Inn midfielder, Tichaona Chipunza, has been spotted at the Harare giants’ training session.
The Green Machine recently acquired the services of Emmanuel Mandiranga and they are seeking the services of Blessing Sarupinda as they battle to stabilise their ship.
“Preparations have gone on so well and, obviously, working on our playing aspects and I’m happy we did cover most of the things we have always wanted to cover,” said Chitembwe.
“But football is very unpredictable.
“At the end of the day, the game belongs to the players, it’s about how they apply themselves on match day.
“There are so many things that go through that process, especially with regards to mental fitness.
“I believe it is what controls many aspects of performance so, I think, we’ve done well.
“I strongly believe the players have been very receptive to the things we have been working on during training so we are looking forward to the game on Saturday.”
Chitembwe said he was happy with the state of his team. “The whole idea is to keep trying and to keep improving the team,” he said.
“The window, we want to take full advantage of it. “There are, obviously, some new players coming but, unfortunately, at the moment, I’m not in a very good position to talk about those ones.
“I strongly believe the team is more important and the new players will be crucial for us when they are part of the group so we are looking forward to them adding value.”
