A 42-YEAR-OLD man from Chikanga was last week arraigned before the courts for allegedly sodomising a 15-year-old teenager.

He is also accused of sucking his privates on four occasions.

Dumisani Macheka was not asked to plead to the aggravated indecent assault charges when he appeared before Mutare senior magistrate, Mrs Sekai Chiwundura last week.

He was, however, advised to apply for bail at the High Court if he wishes to be remanded out of custody.

Mr Fletcher Karombe prosecuted.

The court heard that sometime in early March, Macheka invited the teenager to his Chikanga 1 house where hve allegedly locked the door upon his arrival.

“Macheke removed the teenager’s clothes and started kissing him several times on his mouth and forehead. He then had oral sex with him. This was after he had instructed the juvenile to lie on his bed.

“After the act, Macheka is alleged to have firmly warned the teenager not to disclose anything to anyone since he claimed that he would be watching over him at all times,” stated Karombe.

On March 11, Macheka went on to visit the teenager while his parents were away.

He allegedly kissed him several times and had oral sex with him. He only stopped after the teenager’s mother arrived from where she had gone.

Added Mr Karombe: “Macheka, on March 11, is alleged to have locked the door and drew the curtains before removing the teenager’s clothes. He is alleged to have kissed him several times on the mouth.

“He later forced the teenager to sleep facing downwards and sodomised him.”

The minor is alleged to have tried calling for help, but failed since the act had weakened him.

Karombe further alleged that after the abuse, Macheka lied on the bed facing upward and forced the teenager to have oral sex with him.

“An hour later he allegedly instructed the teenager that he had rested enough and that it was his turn to sleep with Macheke,” stated Mr Karombe.

The teenager allegedly failed to do so.

After the act, he escorted the teenager halfway home and thanked him for the “good time”.

On March 20, the teenager revealed the matter to his parents who later made a police report.

The teenager was medically examined at Mutare Provincial Hospital.

Macheka was initially remanded in custody to April 6 and his trial date was set on April 13.
