MANCHESTER. — Sergio Aguero is in danger of missing Manchester City’s Champions League tie against Barcelona after Manuel Pellegrini admitted the striker’s injury could be worse than he feared.
The Argentina striker is suffering with a calf problem that his manager has already conceded could keep him out for a month.
But, after Tuesday night’s 3-1 Capital One Cup quarter-final triumph over Leicester City, Pellegrini suggested it could be eight weeks before the forward returns.
That compounded a miserable 24 hours on the injury front after Pablo Zabaleta trooped down the tunnel at the King Power Stadium with a hamstring injury.
With Micah Richards also in the treatment room with a hamstring strain — it leaves the club exposed in the full back areas as they take their battle on four fronts into the New Year after reaching the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup

Pellegrini said: ‘I’m not a doctor, so it is very difficult to say.
“The doctor said that he has had at least one month. Or eight weeks. We’ll see. I don’t know how many weeks but it will be at least one month.” If Aguero is missing for eight weeks, it will leave him around 10 days to prove his fitness before the game at the Etihad against the Catalan giants. — Mailonline.
