A GLETWYN man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl several times at his house.
Trust Nyakupeta (23), of Police Heights, was reported to have lured the minor into his house twice and raped her on both occasions.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said sometime last month, Nyakupeta sent the girl to buy him some drinks from a tuck shop.
“When the complainant returned, and gave him the drinks, he started caressing her all over her body and raped her.
“The complainant left and did not tell anyone about the incident.
“On another unknown date, but in November at around 10am and at the same venue, the accused person again asked the girl to bring drinks to his workplace.
“When she arrived, he grabbed and raped her.
“The girl decided to tell the accused’s landlord, who informed her father about what happened leading to the arrest,” said Insp Chakanza.
