He said there was need for Zimbabwe and Tanzania to revive the Joint Commission between the two countries that last met in 1998.
“We have embarked on economic diplomacy with countries we are related to and I have tried to put Zimbabweans into Tanzania and Tanzanians into Zimbabwe.
“We expect that by the end of July one private airline, Precision Airlines, will be flying into Zimbabwe.
They are just finalising a few issues.
“We are trying to touch on various areas including agriculture, trade which we can do between ourselves and want to resume the Joint Commission that did not do much during the time you were having economic difficulties here,” Ambassador Rajabu said.
In his address to the officers the ambassador said the instability in Somalia and the pirates operating from its troubled waters were a cause for concern.
“The issue of Somali pirates is a big problem and we believe the AU and UN should make more concerted efforts to bring stability in the region,” he said.
