Covid-19 national recovery rate rises to 95%

ONE person succumbed to Covid-19 yesterday while 95 recovered from the pandemic as the national recovery rate rose to 95 percent.

During the same period, 35 new cases were recorded from five provinces, with the others recording zero new infections.

The death was in Matabeleland North province, while new cases were recorded in Bulawayo, Manicaland, Masvingo and Matabeleland North.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show that there are still 1 402 active cases.

As at October 17, 2021, Zimbabwe had 132 368 confirmed cases, including 126 308 recoveries and 4 658 deaths.

To date, a total of 3 221 875 people have received their first Covid-19 vaccine dose, while 2 479 178 have received their second dose. – @thamamoe
