JUST IN: Three men armed with knives and an axe hijack car

A driver lost a company car after he was hijacked by three suspects who were armed with knives and an axe in Bulawayo.

Police, on Twitter, confirmed the incident which occurred on October 13 at around 11PM.

“The ZRP is investigating a case of robbery where a complainant who was driving a company Toyota Dyna truck was hijacked by three unknown men armed with knives and an axe on 13 October.

“The driver had stopped at a robot-controlled intersection at Corner Masiyephambili Drive and Hyde Park, Bulawayo at about 11PM. The suspects forced the victim to turn left along Masiyephambili Drive and later stole the vehicle,” said the police.

In another case, police have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile for stealing a car in Botswana on October 10.

“Two suspects fled from the vehicle which was stuck in sand as police approached them leading to the arrest of the minor and recovery of some groceries, hydraulic jack, shovel and axe on the scene and recovery of a stolen Nissan Hard body along Maitengwe riverbed on 11 October,” said the police.
