PERENNIAL MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League campaigners Cranborne Bullets got just the kind of boost they needed ahead of the start of the 2026 season when they unveiled sponsorship deals with several corporates including Discovery Ambulances, FBC Microplan, TelOne, Old Mutual and Organic.
The Harare army side also unveiled their new kits for the upcoming season at a function in the capital yesterday.
The sponsorship was announced at a kit unveiling ceremony, with team patron Jabulani Mulambo expressing gratitude for the support.
“We promise to do our best and make sure we gain promotion.
“We as The Hurricanes are happy with the kind gesture and continued support we are getting and we promise to do our best and make sure we gain promotion.
“The partners have shown so much faith in us as a brand and we promise to do well in representing all the brands.
“Last season we had some challenges concerning ambulances and medicals so this year we cannot be able to cry over that, so I challenge the team to do well,’’ he said.
Discovery Ambulances executive officer David Munowenyu was excited to take the first step in promoting soccer and pledged to ensure that the relationship with the former Premiership side will go a long way.
Munowenyu revealed that although he grew up playing rugby, he had found joy in partnering with football.
“Growing up I used to play rugby and basketball and now we are supporting soccer, which is a positive on our part.
“We have taken it upon ourselves to support Cranborne Bullets for the rest of the 2016 season and I hope the support will go a long way in making it the team to beat.
“I am grateful to other sponsors who have come on board and with such working relations we will make the club great again.
“Our aim is to see it playing in the Premier League so that is why we are supporting this cause,” said Munowenyu.
Cranborne must overcome tough competition for promotion back into the Premier League from such teams like fellow soldiers Black Rhinos, Golden Eagles, Harare City, Banket United, Rangers and Karoi United.
But with corporate partners coming on board, Cranborne look set to be more focused and stable in the season ahead as some of their challenges they used to endure such as player wellness will now be overcome.
