THE City of Mutare will on Wednesday close the Dangamvura Community Grounds and Chikanga Sports Field, which had been turned into produce vending marts, to pave way for their rehabilitation.
In a notice to the public, the city council said traders and farmers that have been using the facilities will be relocated to alternative markets in the respective suburbs.
“Notice is hereby given to all residents, stakeholders, traders and farmers that City of Mutare will close Dangamvura Community Grounds and Chikanga Sports Field with effect from June 15.
All traders and farmers should start making preparations to move either to the newly completed Mukwena Produce Market or ZIMTA Acid Market.
The closing of the grounds will pave way for the rehabilitation process to start,” reads part of the notice.
