NEWLY promoted Zifa Bulawayo Province Division One side Chiwororo have warned other teams that they will not be pushovers when the next season commences.
Chiwororo secured promotion into the First Division with two games to spare after beating Mpopoma Pirates 3-2A away from home last weekend.
Speaking to B-Metro Sport, club chairman Rangarirai Mberikwazvo said his team would not be going to Division One to make numbers but they would also be potential title contenders.
a?Our aim is to just play there for a season and move to the Premier Soccer League. We donat care about giants, all we want is to win the Division One title come next season,a? said the exuberant Mberikwazvo.
Promotion also comes with a lot of expenses as the team will have to do a lot of travelling for games and also fork out money to register but the team is already preparing for those expenses.
a?We are going to a league that will require us to spend a lot of money, but I am sure we will manage with our resources and hope to find a sponsor.
In the event we donat get a sponsor we will not bow down, but try to find other means,a? said Mberikwazvo.
He added that the money they will win for clinching the Division Two title which is about $2 500 to $3 000 would be used to register the team to the First Division league for next season.
Asked if there would be any changes regarding the players for next season, the chairman said they would maintain the same breed of players they have but would be hoping to improve their training and physique given that they were going to a much demanding league.
Chiwororo, a team which was formed just last year have established themselves as a?specialists in successa? having won league titles in both Division Two and Division Three in their debut seasons.
