THEY both beat Simba Bhora to get their first wins of the season and today Cranborne Bullets and Green Fuel clash in a Castle Lager Premiership match at the National Sports Stadium.
Green Fuel coach, Rodwell Dhlakama, will be expecting to extend his unbeaten run to three games since taking charge at the ambitious Lowveld side.
They had been punching bags before his arrival.
Dhlakama’s men are yet to concede under his watch and veteran defender, Obey Mwerahari, say they are now in a good space.
“We are gaining momentum with each passing game and returning to the stadium, where we attained our first win, is a motivation on its own.
“A lot has changed from our previous games, we are playing a team which also won their last game, for the first time this season, and this fixture will be quite difficult for us.
“But, it’s a competition and we have to throw everything to get a positive result and our defence has a big burden to shoulder to ensure that we keep getting good results.
“The coach has been reminding us about the importance of avoiding a loss, especially after a tough spell which we endured, earlier this season.
“He has instilled the belief which was lacking and we are now playing with confidence.
“And, we have to start winning now to avoid a late relegation fight because being at the bottom for a long time is a burden on its own.”
Nesbert ‘Yabo’ Saruchera’s Bullets will fancy that this is a man they can also win and will be inspired by their fine show in their win over Simba Bhora.
