HARARE City are looking to continue with their good form when they host Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum in a mid table Castle Lager Premiership clash at Rufaro this afternoon.
The Sunshine Boys are enjoying a terrific run, in the second half of the season, under Masimba Dinyero and have won all five matches they have played at Rufaro.

Dinyero yesterday said they were looking at continuing their good run.

“We are just geared up. Everything is okay in the camp and we have a clean bill of health but matches like these are always 50-50.

“Remember they beat us in their backyard but now we are saying they are coming to the lion’s den. We are taking this game seriously and we expect to collect maximum points at home,” said Dinyero.

Harare City are currently sitting on eighth position on the standings and are only separated by one point with their opponents, FC Platinum, who are sixth in the race on 35 points.

Dinyero’s strikers Osbourne Mukuradare, Francisco Zekumbawire and Martin Vengesai, who grabbed a brace in the 2-1 win at Triangle in their last league match, have been scoring for fun.

FC Platinum will be without one of their key players Thabani Kamusoko who is suspended after amassing three yellow cards.

The game marks Norman Mapeza’s first game in the capital after his return to the coaching trenches.

The relegation battle will get to another level today when Chiredzi and Bantu Rovers clash at Chishamiso.

Chiredzi’s chances of survival are getting slimmer by the day as they are set to lose more points after failing to fulfill their last fixture at Chapungu.

Black Rhinos will also be fighting for their life at Chicken Inn this afternoon.

The army side will be without midfielder Wonder Kapinda who is completing a two-match suspension for the red-card he picked in the match against ZPC Kariba.
