Dombropoulo leads the charge

PROMINENT farmer and retired multi-talented sports personality Peter Dombropoulo has been appointed chairman of the Manicaland Sport and Recreation Development Committee – a body expected to spearhead the province’s participation in different national inter-provincial sporting events.
The body, which met for announcement of appointments this afternoon, will be unveiled officially by its patron, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza.
The body is expected to mobilise funding as well as oversee the smooth participation of Manicaland province in the ongoing fitness and wellness programme, forthcoming National Youth Games to be held in Mashonaland East capital of Marondera, the Zimbabwe National Paralympic Games and the annual Minister of State Sports and Arts Festival.
The committee includes Dombropoulo, his deputy Emma Mandiziba, secretary Cousinet Simunyu, committee members – Josiah Borerwe, Masimba Chihowa, Martin Murove, Perpetua Guwila, Hastings Sithole, Attwell Shiridzinomwa and Ray Bande.
