DONGO Sawmill head coach Shadreck ‘Father’ Mugurasave has blamed the community for failing to support the local teams despite the talent that the province has.
The whole community right now is crying about Buffaloes FC and Dongo Sawmill’s relegation but what are they doing as the community? They are good at talking but not even one supporter brings even a bag of oranges for the players.
“Other teams have committee for the supporters but it’s a different story for Manicaland all they want is to watch the game for free. They think the players vanodya kuridza ngoma kwavo.We know of supporters’ who donate to the team”, fumed Mugurasave.
He also talked about what costed the Saw millers.

Dongo Sawmill FC won the sole ticket to play in the premier league from the ZIFA Eastern Region after finishing at 67 points in 2014.
The team lacked financial muscles to attract top notch players and also made history by becoming the second team from the eastern region to have been on the basement of the log from first week to the end of the league while Chiredzi FC did the same in 2014.
Mugurasave believes that Dongo has chances of bouncing back into the top elite league and pointed out that they only need a number of experienced players since it was one of the things that lacked in the team.
“I strongly believe that Dongo FC will find its way back to the Premier League. Lack of experienced players contributed to our downfall and only Evans Chikwaikwai was a seasoned player. We couldn’t get experienced players because of limited resources,’ added Mugurasave.
Mugurasave, who is credited with bringing two teams into the Premiership from the Eastern Region, is being linked with move to Buffaloes FC.According to the information from impeccable sources within Buffloes, Mugurasave was told to join the club as they prepare for the 2016 Division One League.
“Shady is employed by army so he has no choice but to come back to the Buffaloes. Everything is sorted out he is going to be the head coach”, said the source.
Reached for comment, Mugurasave could not deny nor confirm.“I think I’m not the right person to talk to at the moment. Talk Buffaloes officials first then we can talk”, he said.
Buffalo’s spokesperson Gladman Chimonyo said that they were having a meeting this coming weekend in which they will discuss about who will take charge of the team.
“We will be having our meeting this coming weekend where we will finalize everything then I will come back to you,” he said.
